Energy Assistance for NH residents

Energy assistance is only for families earning 75% of the median income.

The Executive Council approved funds for heating and electric aid. All the major electric utility providers have raised their rates, and home heating fuel costs are expected to rise along with the price of gasoline, so the state has decided to send $35 million in tax revenue to five regional agencies to distribute credits to qualified NH residents.

This program is separate from LIHEAP, an existing federal program.
