Current mayor Deaglan McEachern has a new mailer, apparently sent out to every resident in Portsmouth. The problem is the mailer does NOT say who paid for it. This is campaign finance law 101– every political mailer MUST have a notice on it stating who paid for it.
Surely the mayor is aware that laws also apply to him? Why are these laws important? Because if a special interest is supporting a candidate, the public has a right to know. This is why all the donors have to be disclosed ahead of the election too. Come on, Deaglan.
