Did you know … the City will spend $26 MM for a new water pipe?

The City finally received a bid (just one) to replace the main water transmission pipe under Little Bay: $26 million.  This was almost three times what the City had budgeted.  Unheard of bid versus expected.  This has to be done.  The City is scrambling.  Who’s going to pay the excess?  Take a guess.  (Safe Water Advisory Group, 9/20/2023 Meeting (56:40))
